Warm congratulations to Bonnie Homer from the University of Adelaide, who won our inaugural Marine BioConnect Student Award!
Bonnie presented her research on ‘Reducing the need for antimicrobials in weaner pigs with seaweed extracts’ to a packed audience at the conference.
Criteria for the award included presenting industry challenges convincingly and concisely; presenting convincing strategies to solve the problem identified and the extent to which data and strategies presented aid in solving the problem discussed.
The judges were unanimous in their decision, with Bonnie presenting a clear, concise and compelling case for her research, its data and strategies.
