Charlie Latham is a highly experienced finance, governance and company secretarial professional with more than 50 years of experience across biotechnology, medical technology, venture capital and research commercialisation. A Chartered Accountant and experienced company secretary, he has held senior executive, governance and advisory roles across numerous listed and private organisations.
Charlie has been closely involved in Australia’s CRC and innovation ecosystem, including the Cell Therapy Manufacturing CRC and several successful biotechnology spin-outs. He is a founding Director and Secretary of Carina Biotech and serves as Company Secretary of SMART CRC, a role he has held since June 2025.
As a member of the Marine Bioproducts CRC Audit and Risk Committee, Charlie brings extensive expertise in financial oversight, governance, risk management and corporate compliance. His experience supporting research-intensive and innovation-led organisations provides valuable insight into the governance and stewardship of collaborative research enterprises.
