The Marine Bioproducts CRC’s mission is to transform Australia’s emerging marine bioproducts sector into a globally competitive industry. Achieving this requires developing a workforce that not only possesses strong scientific expertise, but also the technical, professional, and commercial capabilities needed to develop, scale, and deliver marine bioproduct innovations to market.
Our Education & Training Program creates clear and supported pathways into the marine bioproducts industry. From students to specialists, we equip people within our network with the opportunities, skills, networks and real-world experiences needed to translate marine innovation into commercial and community impact.

Attracting young people to marine industries
These scholarships support high school students undertaking school-based apprenticeships and training (SBAT) or employment in aquaculture, seafood processing, fisheries compliance, and other related marine industries.

Developing technical and vocational training capability
The Fund provides financial support for Marine Bioproducts CRC industry partners, research partners, collaborators and scholars to undertake vocational training and technical upskilling aligned with industry needs and current activities.

Building commercialisation and collaboration capability
Supports Marine Bioproducts CRC industry partners, research partners, collaborators and scholars to undertake placements with leading domestic and international research organisations, marine biotechnology companies, and innovation clusters.
