We turn marine biomass, including fish, shellfish, seaweed, and microbes into products relating to human food, animal and aquaculture feed, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, agrochemicals, biomaterials, and more.

How does Marine Bioproducts CRC function?
Like all Cooperative Research Centres, Marine Bioproducts CRC is funded by the Australian Government through the CRC Program and operates under a Commonwealth Standard Grant Agreement (Grant No. CRCXXII000003). Individual research activities are governed through Partnership Agreements and Project Agreements, which define the roles, responsibilities, funding, and expected outcomes for each project.
Who led the original grant application for the Marine Bioproducts CRC?
Born out of a proposal led by Flinders University. Today, Marine Bioproducts CRC operates from two office locations in Adelaide (South Australia) and Hobart (Tasmania).
